SaveDrop

Privacy policy

Effective 4 October 2026

In short: SaveDrop has no accounts with us, no ads and no analytics. What you save and your History are kept by SaveDrop on your iPhone and are never sent to us. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to e-mail us.

Who we are

SaveDrop is made by Teerapong Suksuwan, an independent developer in Thailand ("we"). Questions about privacy: .

What SaveDrop keeps on your iPhone

SaveDrop keeps the following in its own storage on your iPhone and doesn't send it to us. Like other apps' data, it can be included in your iPhone's backups.

While you're choosing what to save, photo previews are kept in memory while SaveDrop is open, and SaveDrop's own downloads use no disk cache. Video previews play through Apple's video player, which handles its own temporary data while playing. Downloads are held in temporary files, which SaveDrop tries to delete when saving finishes or fails; if SaveDrop is closed in the middle, or a file can't be deleted, it stays until iOS removes it. Apple also keeps your App Store purchase records on your iPhone, so SaveDrop can check Pro without a connection.

Trial reminder

When you start the free 7-day trial in SaveDrop, it asks to send you notifications and, if you allow it, tries to schedule a reminder on your iPhone for five days later. If the purchase first needs someone's approval (such as Ask to Buy), no reminder is scheduled. The reminder is created by iOS on your iPhone; nothing is sent to us.

Photos

SaveDrop adds the photos and videos you choose to your Photos library. If you save into an album, it asks for access to your library so it can list your albums with their covers and create a new album when you ask. It doesn't upload, analyse or share anything from your library. To show an album's cover, Photos may download it from iCloud if it isn't on your iPhone. If you use iCloud Photos, Apple syncs what you save, as it does for any photo.

What SaveDrop connects to

Sharing from other apps

When you share a link or a web page to SaveDrop, it reads what you shared. From Safari, it also reads the page's address, title and the list of photos and videos on it, on your iPhone, so you can choose what to save.

No logins

SaveDrop doesn't log in to Instagram, Facebook or any other site, and never asks for your password there. It asks sites for posts without signing in. When you share a web page from Safari, it uses the photos and videos on the page you're looking at.

When you write to us

"Send feedback" and "Send link" open your own mail app with a message ready for you to edit and send. "Send link" includes the text you pasted, what went wrong, and the SaveDrop and iOS versions; "Send feedback" includes the versions only if you tick the box. Nothing reaches us unless you send the e-mail. We use your message only to answer you and to fix SaveDrop, and we delete it when it's no longer needed.

What we don't do

Children

SaveDrop is not meant for children under 13.

Your rights

Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act and similar laws, you can ask what personal data we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Because SaveDrop doesn't send us your data, we usually hold nothing beyond e-mails you choose to send us. Write to .

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects what SaveDrop sends from your iPhone, we'll also say so in the app.
